About Norwalk Juice Extractors
The original Norwalk juicing machine was created in 1934 by Dr. Norman Walker who used his machine several times per day. The good doctor lived to be 99 years old and kept all his faculties about him right up to the end. His innovation started the whole juice movement.
Norwalk juicers are also the only juicer that is recommended for patients using Gerson Therapy for cancer treatment.

Advantages Norwalk Juicers:
If you are going to make juice from fruit or vegetables you want the most juice yield for your effort and though there is some debate on how much more juice you will get from a Norwalk juicer, all agree that you will get at least 15-50% more juice from this model. The hydraulic press juicing makes it one of the best juicers to extract more juice from your produce.
One of the reasons the Norwalk Juicer gets so much praise is thanks to the stainless steel construction, which extends to the internal moving parts as well. In fact, the only piece that is not stainless is the pusher. These internal parts are very easy to remove which makes clean up really simple. Pull out the five internals, rinse, drop in the dishwasher and get on with your day.
The Norwalk juicer is one of the best with a 12-year manufacturer warranty. Manufactured with a heavy-duty stainless steel construction, one-piece construction means this machine will be around for decades!
There are a few things that people do not like about this juicer:
- As juicers go, the Norwalk is the top of the line and that includes the pricing. The price will range from several hundred to a couple of thousand, depending on whether you buy used or new. In order to pay this much for a juicer you will want to be sure you are in it for the long term.
- You probably noticed from the description above that the Norwalk juicer is created entirely from stainless steel. This leads to a downside, these units are heavy! A typical Norwalk will weigh in excess of 50 pounds.
- The grinder inside this model is triturating, which means it completely pulverizes or crushes the food making juice extraction very efficient. One problem with this process is that the triturating grinder produces more heat than the average juicer. If you are concerned about heat damage to your fruit and vegetables, this is an important point to consider.
