If you are looking for versatility in your juicer, you might want to check out the Champion Brand juicers. This is a company with a long history of making small home juicers; they have been in business since 1955! Back then, very few people were in the juicing market and many of them were trying to get juice by squeezing vegetables through cheesecloth! Today, much has changed and you can now quickly make a tasty glass of orange or carrot juice in minutes.
Wow. What Versatility!
Most of the time when you compare juicers you must be careful so that you are comparing apples to apples and oranges to oranges. What this means is there are different machines built for very different purposes. One will be much better for soft fruits and another more suited to harder fruits and vegetables. Rarely do you find one that crosses over well, but the Champion seems to be doing a very good job at just that.
According to the manufacturer, these machines will do all of the following:
- Fruit juice
- Vegetable juice
- Wheatgrass
- Nut butters
- Baby food
- Frozen sherbets
- Coconut milk
- Fruit sauces
- Optional Grain mill allows you to make flour
- And Ice Cream!
Current Models Available
There are two models that are currently available: one for household use and one for commercial use. Both perform well in tests and get exceptional customer feedback.
Strengths of These Juice Extractors:
Out of the gate, this machine offers many different options. You will be hard pressed (no pun intended) to find a better all around juicer. If you want to experiment with several different types of healthy foods this is the machine you will want on the kitchen counter.
Unlike many juicers on the market today, the Champion Brands interior parts are not made of hard plastic but nylon. This means you are going to get a good deal more use out of them over the long term. Nylon will not snap nearly as easily as the plastic parts you find in many models. They also do not break if you happen to drop them, which is amazing on its own. This machine is simple to assemble, easy to operate and clean which is very important to any juicer.
Any Complaints?
This is not a juicer you will want if you are going to be doing a lot of wheatgrass. You will find when dealing with any type of juicing machine that some are just better suited to one type of food than another. Wheatgrass is one of those foods that is just difficult to juice; if you want to do this on a regular basis, you should choose the appropriate machine.
Foam seems to be a common complaint with the Champion Brands juicers and it is true that you will get a significant amount of froth with this unit. You will want to weigh how important this fact is to you. For some people this will not be an issue and for others it will be a big problem.
With any juicer, you are going to have pros and cons, but overall the Champion Brands Juicers are a good machine for the money. You will notice that this juicer does not wring the pulp dry, but with all the positives, this is really a small point.
