The Olympic Juicer is Replaced by the Omega 1000

Has someone recommended the Olympic juicer and you can’t find one?  That is because this brand has been taken over by a company that now makes Omega juicers.

omega 1000 juicerThe Omega 1000 juicer is just about the same as the original Olympic juicers that were recommended a few years back.  It is a centrifugal juicer that uses a spinning rotation to juice produce.

The Omega 1000 juicer exemplifies why so many consumers find the juicing market confusing. The manufacturer claims the 1/3 horsepower motor is powerful and mighty, but then there are some consumer reviews reminding consumers that there are more powerful juicers on the market within the same price range.

You have to put this into perspective and know what you need. The 1/3 horsepower motor on the Omega 1000 is clearly not the most powerful motor out there. Yet, it is sufficient for juicing most fruits and vegetables as needed.
Keep in mind that there are many consumer reviews backing up Omega by saying this juicer will last for generations, so those who claim their machine only lasted a year aren’t really the majority.

Pros of the Omega 1000 As A Replacement for the Olympic Juicer

The pros for this machine are:

  • Reasonable power output
  • Easy to operate
  • Easy to clean
  • Affordable pricing

This is a centrifugal juicer that you can set on the counter and quickly put to use whenever needed. It won’t take long to clean and will deliver dry pulp and rich, nutritious juice.

Common Complaints:

You still need to balance those pros with realistic cons. For this machine, the cons are:

  • Very loud
  • Vibrates on the countertop
  • Easily clogs, which creates more intense vibrating on the countertop
  • Side clamps may break easily

The biggest problem with the Omega 1000 juicer is the possibly that it could vibrate itself into the floor. It is going to wake the house up if you try to make a smoothie bright and early. If the pulp gets clogged it will vibrate so much it starts to walk across the countertop.

It is not unheard of for this machine to walk itself right over the edge to the floor, so you don’t want to leave it unattended when in use.
